Take a close look at a TRD Performance Air Filter and you'll see why it not only outperforms standard paper-style filters, but other aftermarket filters on the market as well. TRD Performance Air Filters are designed with a deeper pleat than other filters. Deeper pleats increase filter media surface, which provides more air passages reducing airflow restriction while maintaining filtration efficiency. The chosen filter media consists of four plies of specially treated medical-grade cotton gauze that is placed between two layers of epoxy-coated aluminum screen mesh. This completes the ultimate solution for providing maximum engine protection while preventing horsepower-robbing air restriction. Even under extreme conditions, this unique pleat geometry filters damaging dirt particles without clogging, resulting in less pressure drop across the filter throughout the life of the cleaning cycle

TRD Performance Air Filters utilize a combination of increased pleat depth and pitch to optimize filter surface area. Precision pleat geometry and superior filter media combine to enhance air flow through the intake system increasing performance, while protecting critical engine components. Multi=layer oiled cotton gauze attracts and traps contaminants without sacrificing airflow. TRD Performance Air Filters have between 8 and 20% more surface area resulting in up to 50% more airflow than paper filters.

With cleaning intervals about twice as long as replacement intervals for conventional paper filters under normal use, TRD Performance Filters have a low service requirement. Because they can be easily cleaned and reused as required. they are cost effective and environmentally friendly.
